Mrs. Mac Donagh

The community of St. Brigid’s National School was saddened to learn of the passing of a former colleague and teacher, Mick O’Mahony.  Mick passed away peacefully on October 26th in his native Cork.

Mick began his teaching career in 1971, shortly after Dave Nolan became principal. Some past pupils remember him arriving at school on a motorbike and thought he was so cool! Mick was the third most senior teacher in St. Brigid’s until he retired around 2006.

We want to extend our sympathy to all his family and friends but in particular to his children, Kevin, Grainne and Brendan, who are all past pupils of our school.
