The Swim Ireland Leinster Minor School Championships event took place 13th October in the NAC.

Cameron Jackson (5th) and Ronan Toomey (4th) proudly represented St Brigid’s National School.  A large number of swimmers  competed but  we were delighted to learn that Cameron was rewarded with two gold medals for the races he participated in…100mtr IM and also the 50mtr back.

Well done boys !

In other news we learned today that Gustav Des Aulniers in 6th class will be travelling  to Canada shortly  with team mates to take part in the international  ice hockey championships . Gus is a member of the Flying Ducks Hockey Club .  Congratulations to him also.

In further hockey news we recently learned that he was the goalie for the U12 national team when they won the first international tournament in Irish ice hockey history. They defeated North Ireland, Scotland, and England in the first annual Causeway Cup held in Belfast.  Wow !
